It appears as though we are all acting too sober of late.

I feel there is a loss of influence that has simply been forgotten in our collective abstemious stupor.

Beer seems to have been replaced by red wine of late; for me at least.

I have been involved in a highly delicate operation. Find the cheapest bottle of red wine that is still drinkable. So far my PB is 199 HUF, about 0.98 USD. I found some wine at the weekend that was 150 HUF, it was so bad that I nearly failed to empty the bottle!

I blame Comic-con. The massing of all that artistic, let alone humorous, talent in one place has left a vacuum from which we can't escape.

In Response to deerboy (#28380):

What a coincidence. One day ago, i was thinking, "Gee, Mr Snarly-pants hasn't uttered a peep in over two months; i should give him a friendly virtual poke," (despite admonitions that one should Not Taunt Happy-Fun-Ball!) so i did something sort of dumb. While i was totally stoned i sent him a joke 'electronic greeting-card' indicating my feeling of emptiness which only he could fill.

Afterwards i realized that it might be a bad idea to provide his e-mail address (and mine) to this online greeting card company, because it could theoretically result in heaps of spam. Also, i began to wonder whether Tor might be rather irritated to receive a stupid message from some weirdo on the opposite side of the ocean.

But he apparently hasn't retrieved his electronic greeting yet. So now i'm hoping that he is either:

1) on the longest, most exciting, most hysterical bender of his life,

2) hiding away with some intimate friend(s) and too busy having fun to bother with random distant weirdos,

or 3) seriously involved in some sort of professional endeavor that is earning heaps of money, and thus not inclined to dawdle around here lately.

So anyway: stupid Teledildonix, should let sleeping dogs lie. Perhaps Tor was kidnapped by pirates, or by aliens, or by Scientologists. Who knows? I hope he'll forgive me for the whole e-greeting-card thingy.

Hooray! Mere minutes later, i received notification that he retrieved the e-greeting. So it appears that he was not kidnapped; but potentially option #1 (long hysterical bender) is still a distinct possibility.

By the way, i missed dear deerboy boy, too. Every time one of you nice people fades out for more than a month or so, i worry that you're doing a 37 [goats.com]. And Graham is still apparently alive and well, but i just don't know how to entice him back, either. Too bad there's still no convenient virtual beer-to-peer protocol.

I suspect that, in both these cases, you'd have to convince me to leave.

Wusses.

1) on the longest, most exciting, most hysterical bender of his life,

2) hiding away with some intimate friend(s) and too busy having fun to bother with random distant weirdos,

I think you repeat yourself.
