The pictures weren't awful. They just whetted my appetite for the book even more.

that's fantastic! i've already read all this, but i'm excited to have a book so that when i'm trying to convince people to read goats and i don't think they'd be open to the idea of reading years of archives on a website, i can just hand them a physical book. "Just read THIS!" i'll say, confident in my knowledge that they'll soon be hooked.

Day one purchase. I love having the strips online, free, and searchable, but to quote somebody who said something about a comic art exhibition at the Hammer Museum last year, comics just aren't framed correctly without a thumb on either side.

That's probably how "Llama" came to be spelled with two L's... some shepherd combined literacy lessons with drinking games, and hey-- presto!

The spelling that confuses me is Ms Witherspoon's first name, because i have a male relative who spells his first name with a "C" instead of an "S": Reece. And so whenever i'm addressing a salutation to him, i always hesitate and do some head-scratching because i need to dig through old correspondence every time to determine whether i'm naming him properly, or whether i'm accidentally referring to him as though he were some kind of Oscar-winning actress.

It would be so much easier if his name were "Grif" or "Fish". I can spell those without all the headscratchery.

There are seven new pages at the beginning of the book leading into the Space Battle intro. It's mostly a quick intro to the core cast for people picking not familiar with the strip. A lot of the art from the early stuff has also been reworked a little here and there for the sake of consistency.
