If you're a Torontonite or a Torontonarian, be sure to come to TCAF this weekend! I'll be there splitting a table with Chris Hastings and Carly Monardo and their adorable tiny dog. There will be a ridiculous number of cartoonists in attendance and it looks like it's going to be an amazing show. I'll have display copies of Infinite Typewriters for youse guys to take a look at, and hopefully something I will be able to sell for Canadian money.
Speaking of things to sell, some of my friends have just released new books!
- Rich just released his answer to Terminator Salvation, CRUSH ALL HU-MANS!, comprised of 64 pages of unapologetic robot violence. Be sure to pick up a Squishable Red Robot while you're at it. Norah tackles hers and then yells "RED ROBOT! RED ROBOT!" until the neighbors complain.
- Mer's just released Octopus Pie Book 3, which is her best yet. The Nerds vs. Stoners laser tag match is a classic I would like to see replicated IRL at next year's NEWW. I just have to figure out which team to play for before then.
- Kate's new book is SOLD OUT, I hear? I'm sure they'll print more. They must! Go get in line.
- Brad's latest annual report is in color! Now that's what I call high ROI.
- Dave's first collection just got nominated for an Eisner! Dare you miss out on his newest offering? I think you dare not. You darens't.
There's at least one book missing from that list. But more on that later today or tomorrow, I hope.
